    Hi Dr. Garner,
I don’t have a question but I do have an answer — to the quiz on tonight’s show.

polish — as in polish the furniture
Polish — as in The man from Poland is Polish.

I have never been able to get through to you when your show is on the air. The line is always busy. Perhaps you can have a second line for those who don’t have a medical question but would like to answer the quiz.

Your show is most informative. Wouldn’t miss it.

    DEAR DR. GARNER,
THANK YOU FOR THE 2 PLAQUES. THEY ARE VERY NICE.
I AGREE WITH MARILYN WHO WROTE IN WITH THE ANSWER ABOVE. I TOO HAD THIS ANSWER AND TRIED TO GET THROUGH FROM 8:30 ON. A DIFFERENT LINE FOR THE TRIVIA ANSWER WOULD MAKE IT EASIER TO GET THROUGH.
    THANKS AGAIN.

  8. Julie M Killingworth Says:

    Dear Dr Garner,

I have been afflicted with sudden pulmonary infections on and off including sudden double pnemonia the past couple of years. It all started after I was exposed to toxic dust and mold from a construction site accross my courtyard that failed ot put up a protective tarp. I have been told I could have everything from Asthma to Sarcoidosis but I have not had a biopsy yet to confirm anything. My ANA was slightly positive but inconclusive. My father has a rare granulomatous disease – granulomatous prostatitis. It was accidentally found from a routine biopsy. I recently had a another strange lung infection that came on without no core illness and lasted for 4 months until my doctor finally put me on 6 weeks of Azithromycin.

My question is is it possible that I have inherited my father’s disease but it has affected my upper respiratory system? it seems the only thing that fits my symptoms which also included earaches, enlarged lymph nodes in my neck and lungs, boils, severe cough and green sputum. Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,

    Julie Killingworth

  9. Heather Taylor Says:

Ok so i know this will sound disgusting, but i really want to know what’s going on.
Recently (and when i am talking recently i am saying a time span within the past two months or so) I will go days without pooping. My longest was 5 1/2 days when i was at camp. I have a HUGE problem with going to the bathroom if i have to go number 2 or even going in my own home if people are home. When i am at other people’s houses or public places i NEVER have the urge to go, no matter how hard i try to make myself go. My stomach doesn’t feel upset, but i have noticed i get quite a bit of pain in my lower back when i haven’t gone for days. When i eventually end up going it really hurts, and i end up having to push really hard because it is a big turd (sorry if this is TMI!) I also eat a good amount of fiber; I heard that extra virgin olive oil helps too so i drank some of that, but of course, nothing still has happened.
Right now it’s been four days so far without a bow movement, and i have started to take laxatives; i took 2 laxatives yesterday and two today but still no bow movement. On the back of the box it states “Stop use and contact doctor immediately if you experience rectal bleding or no bow movement after using this product. These could be signs of a serious condition”
Should i be concerned? Any ideas? What is up?
