After receiving his business degree from Baruch College Fr. Jamie went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America. After 10 years in the hotel industry he entered the Immaculate Conception Seminary in Huntington and was ordained in 1995. Fr. Jamie is very involved in the local Brooklyn community; he was the founding member of the inter-religious dialogue organization, Bay Ridge Unity Task Force. Fr. Jamie currently serves as the Pastor of Mary Queen of Heaven Parish in Old Mill Basin, Brooklyn.

As co-host of the NET food series, Breaking Bread, Fr. Jamie travels to various Parishes in neighborhoods throughout the Diocese of Brooklyn and gives an insightful history of local Parishes throughout the show. He notes how the Parish is linked to the diverse culture of the neighborhood and particularly to a specific restaurant.

Born in Ethiopia, raised in Los Angeles, and groomed in New York, Tati Amare is a transnational sensation.  Having immersed herself in multiethnic communities at home and abroad, Tati is a polished, urban woman with global appeal.  She now calls New York City her home and is deeply connected to the city where she lives and works.

That connection is the source of her passion for reporting, the reason behind her love for the topics she covers and shares with the public.
