On June 6, 1944, Rocco Moretto was one of 160 thousand troops who landed along a stretch of French coastline to fight Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy. The invasion was as historic as it was bloody, with an estimated 10 thousand soldiers losing their lives on those shores and thousands more suffering casualties.
But Rocco Moretto lived to tell the tale. And in this I-Witness he shares with us his story of courage and faith under fire.
