The federal government recently released new guidelines on stem cell research. Cardinal Justin Rigali criticized the guidelines, saying they would encourage the destruction of embryo, including those that would otherwise survive and be born. But, advocates for the research argue it holds unlimited possibilities. Opponents, meanwhile, say the destruction of human embryos is immoral. One of those opponents is Father Tadeusz Pacholczyk of the National Catholic Bioethics Center, and our Francesca Maxime spoke with him about this.
