For the first time, the Choir of the Pope’s Diocese is coming to the United States. The choir performed at the beatification of Pope John Paul II and now people in the New York City metro area will have the opportunity to see and hear their amazing performances in person. The choir is playing a series of concerts, accompanied by New Jersey’s Livingston Symphony Orchestra. The brief concert schedule gets underway on Saturday, June 4 in Trenton, New Jersey. They will be in the Brooklyn Diocese one week later, at Regina Pacis Church on June 11. They’re also at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on June 5. Head over the choir’s website for the complete concert schedule and to hear samples of their vast concert repertoire.
On Tuesday night’s edition of Currents, Matt speaks with the choir’s founder and director, Monsignor Marco Frisina. You can also learn more about him at his website.
