Writing the Wave
Senator Edward Kennedy, RIP

Sen. Ted Kennedy died late last night after a year-long battle against a brain tumor.

Kennedy, who came from one of the most prominent Irish Catholic families in America, voted against his church on abortion, but was in agreement with it on a number of other issues.  His sister, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, considered a strong pro-life advocate, died only two weeks ago.

On tonight’s show, we speak with people outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan.  We’ll also speak in our studio with a Jesuit who (before joining the Jesuits) worked on Senator Kennedy’s 1994 reelection campaign.

Be sure to to tune in tonight at 7:30 pm, with an encore at 11:30 pm.

any priest or nun who works for the re-election of a politician who endorses abortion is a disgrace to catholicism and should consider resigning. they are taking part in murder.

Any Catholic who works for the re-election of a politican who endorses abortion is a disgrace to Catholicism. Taking part in murder is a mortal sin. I don’t understand why people have so much trouble accepting that.
