It has been called “Abortion Row” – a stretch of Jackson Heights, Queens with a dozen abortion clinics…all clustered within a two-mile radius. And this past Wednesday, Ash Wednesday, it became the starting point for a 40-day pro-life event – what supporters are calling a “public witness” for the unborn.

That “public witness,” dubbed “40 Days for Life” is sponsored by the group Expectant Mothers Care. This week, members of that group took to the streets of Queens…reaching out to the largely Hispanic population of the neighborhood with pamphlets… protest… and prayer.
