Aid to Pakistan – 8/23/10

Almost five million people have been forced from their homes – the
result of massive floods in Pakistan. It’s been three weeks since the
start of what’s been a devastating time for many Pakistanis.

Hundreds of thousands of them have found refuge in tent camps, but many more are unaccounted for. And one member of Pakistan’s
parliament says a majority of residents are not getting the help they
need.

One organization that is providing relief – and has been a presence in Pakistan since 1954 – is Catholic Relief Services. Our Matt McClure spoke with the organization’s country representative in Pakistan, Jack Byrne.
