Archbishop Chaput and the future of the Church in Philly 7/19/11

Philadelphia Archbishop Cardinal Justin Rigali called it “a new moment in the life of this local church” – the appointment of his successor, Archbishop Charles Chaput. Cardinal Rigali said he was “confident that the people of the archdiocese will welcome the new archbishop with the warmth, affection and respect that is so characteristic of the City of Brotherly Love.”

What does the future hold for Archbishop Chaput at his new assignment? Our Matt McClure spoke by phone with proud Philly resident, Vatican insider, Currents contributor and author of the popular blog “Whispers in the Loggia,” Rocco Palmo.
