We want to introduce you to a woman who has a special affection for a sport that you might not see on ESPN. And she loves it so much, she’s eager to pass the baton to the next generation. Literally.

The sport is baton twirling. And the woman behind it is giving children lessons that involve more than twirling…and that just may last a lifetime. To find out more, our Nathalia Ortiz decided to give it a whirl – at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Sunset Park.

You (Nathalia Ortiz) did a beautiful job in making this video. Everyone came out great.

Wow I can’t believe I came across this great video. I am so glad to hear the OLPH twirlers still exist. I was one of the first twirlers with Cecilia and with Dorothy Orlowsky. Great to see Celilia still a part of something she loves.
