It’s known as “Super Saturday” — the day when many stores have a final round of discounts for shoppers looking for that last minute Christmas gift at a bargain price. It typically happens on the Saturday before Christmas but many retailers have moved those sales up one week because, this year, “Super Saturday” actually falls on Christmas Eve.

But some out there may forego the physical shopping experience and make their last minute purchases online. CDs, DVDs and books are always popular gifts at this time of year. And one author who has certainly made his mark in the area of bestsellers is Jesuit Father James Martin. Some of his most popular titles are “My Life With the Saints” and “The Jesuit Guide to (Almost) Everything.” In his latest book, he looks at the lighter side of spiritual life and, this week, he was right here in our backyard, at Holy Name Church in Windsor Terrace to talk about it.
