According to the latest numbers, close to one and a half million New Yorkers are living without enough food, including one out of every five children. And with the economy struggling to get back on its feet, more and more families are struggling to put food on the table. The financial uncertainty is also impacting food pantries, which don’t have enough supplies to meet their demands.
We visited a local Catholic Charities food pantry in Bay Ridge to get a firsthand look at what they, and the people they serve, are now facing.
