Catholic League’s Donohue arms faithful 7/2/12

The Church is trying to make its voice heard during the Fortnight for Freedom. However doing so can be difficult in a secular world that’s looking elsewhere for answers.

But Catholics across the country are doing what they can to change that, including the President of the Catholic League, Bill Donohue. Donohue frequently speaks out, both in the media and in public, against attempts to marginalize the Church and its people.

His latest work comes not via the airwaves, but in the form of a new book, Why Catholicism Matters: How Catholic Virtues Can Reshape Society in the 21st Century. The book has received accolades from Cardinals Timothy Dolan, Edwin O’Brien and Donald Wuerl and Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput.

We recently had the chance to hear more about Bill Donohue’s book when he spoke about it at Pauline Books and Media in Manhattan.
