Funeral arrangements are complete for a New York City police officer shot and killed in the line of duty earlier this week. A funeral Mass for Officer Peter Figorski will be held at the Parish of St. Joseph in Babylon, Long Island. Figorski was shot in the face early Monday morning in Cypress Hills after he and fellow officers cornered a group of robbery suspects. The shooting happened not far from St. Rita’s Church and last night, the Catholic youth group Jovenes de Valor met at the church and held a prayer vigil at the site of the shooting.
