It’s the day the son rises – and we’re not talking about the glowing orb in the sky that gives us our daylight. Yesterday, on Easter Sunday, Catholics and other Christians celebrated the empty tomb, symbolizing Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.
For people at one Queens parish, what better time to celebrate that – than at sunrise? Parishioners at St. Clare’s Parish in Rosedale woke up for a very early morning outdoor Mass on Sunday. When the celebration got underway, it was still pretty dark out, but it got bright pretty quickly.
