Fighting an Unjust Bill – 1/11/11
Get the Flash Player to see this player.

Less than a week after New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan joined Brooklyn Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio in calling on New Yorkers to work to decrease the number of abortions, supporters of the pro-life movement gathered last night in Manhattan to bring more attention to the issue.

Headlining the event was someone we are familiar with at Currents, pro-life activist Dr. Alveda King. She is the niece of Martin Luther King, Jr, and she’s been our guest before on Currents. Our Matt McClure went to the rally last night and found a crowd that was “fired up” about their pro-life message.

Thank God for the people who are trying to fight this bill. I know that Dr, Alveda King has had threats on her life because of her stance on abortion. I admire her for standing up and speaking out. I pray for Gods protection on all these good people who are against such evil in our world. May God bless them all.
