“Refudiate” – if you look it up in Webster’s dictionary, you won’t find it. But if you check out the blogosphere, there is no way to miss former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin’s latest media mishap. Palin coined this new word on Twitter and talk shows, while wading into the heated debate over the construction of a mosque near Ground Zero. It seems she may have “misunderestimated” just how much attention her latest foray into the spotlight would get.

And while the world seems to be more focused on Palin’s latest contribution to the English lexicon, there is a more serious issue at hand.
