Lemonade Benefit for Haiti – 3/1/10

It was seven weeks ago tomorrow that the devastating earthquake rocked Haiti, killings hundreds of thousands and leaving countless more homeless. And the misery just never seems to stop.
Over the weekend, the island nation was hit by relentless rains that left the southwestern corner of the country flooded. Haiti’s third largest city, Les Cayes, was inundated with 60 inches of rain, reportedly killing at least a dozen people.
Meantime, up here in New York, efforts to help raise money for quake relief continue. Friday, as the city dug out from that massive snowstorm, there was a benefit at Carnegie Hall – organized by some people with a deep personal connection to Haiti. Take a look.
