Life at the end: the Catholic perspective 4/12/11

It seems like, more than ever, abortion has been in the news this year. New laws in states across the country are placing restrictions on it and attempting to restrict the work of pro-life activists. Abortion has also been at the center of health care and budget debates in Washington. But it’s not the only “life issue.”

People face difficult choices at the end of life. There are countless ethical questions many will be forced to confront. What would you do in the face of an incurable disease? What kind of medical treatment would you choose for yourself or a loved one? Who do you trust to make decisions for you when you no longer can? Experts tackled these end-of-life questions and more at this year’s Family Life Conference this past weekend at Dunwoodie Seminary in Yonkers.
