The ink had barely dried on California Governor Jerry Brown’s signature on the landmark law requiring public schools in his state to teach about the contributions of homosexual Americans before the law’s opponents put the wheels in motion to bring it to a statewide vote that would hopefully overturn the controversial law.
Opponents dispute claims that the mandatory history lessons would provide students with a more accurate view of American history. They say what the law would actually do is teach children to accept homosexuality.
