Norway continues to grieve in the wake of Friday’s brutal bombing and hour-long shooting spree that left 76 people dead.

The twin attacks have focused everyone’s attention on their alleged perpetrator, 32-year-old Anders Brevik, and the motivation for his acts. The terror suspect has been described as a Christian fundamentalist, anti-Muslim, a right-wing extremist and even anti-Christian since the discovery of a 1500 page online manifesto calling for a, “Christian war to defend Europe against the threat of Muslim domination.”

But was Brevik’s crusade Christian or just plain maniacal? To help answer that question, our Matt Mcclure spoke by phone with Frank Gaffney, President of the Center for Security Policy in Washington, D.C.
