Next Tuesday, September 13, is primary day here in New York – it Is also a day when people in parts of the city will decide some special elections. And arguably the one garnering the most attention is the race to fill New York’s Ninth Congressional seat, which covers parts of Brooklyn and Queens.

And it was quite an eventful few weeks back in the spring that led to this special election. It all started in late May when a link to a racy photograph appeared on the Twitter feed of Congressman Anthony Weiner. The Congressman claimed his account had been hacked but, after more graphic images were leaked, he eventually admitted to sending explicit emails and photos to about six women. On July 21st, Weiner officially resigned, leaving his congressional seat open.

One of two candidates hoping to fill that seat is Republican/Conservative candidate Bob Turner, a retired television executive who originally ran against Weiner in 2010. Turner sat down with our News Director, Ed Wilkinson. Here is part two of that interview.

Note: we offered Democratic candidate David Weprin the opportunity to be interviewed. His office did not return our calls.
