It’s a discussion that typically happens at the United Nations, the governing body that makes an endless amount of decisions on a multitude of issues facing countries around the world. But a conversation on how best to use international aid took place in the shadow of the U.N., at Holy Family Parish. And with ongoing crises in countries like Pakistan, Japan and now Turkey, it’s one of many conversations that need to take place. And, as we found out, when it comes to helping troubled countries, it’s not about how much you spend, but how you spend.
