The Diocese of Brooklyn is implementing an education initiative called “Preserving the Vision.” It’s an ongoing process that – as its title implies – is aimed at preserving Catholic education in Brooklyn and Queens for years to come. As part of the process, schools are transitioning to an academy model. This past September, three new academies opened.

And, in Astoria, Queens, one school is getting ready for that transition. That school, Most Precious Blood is going strong and is looking forward to the change. They are our latest “School of the Week.”
