It’s a school that is firm in the teachings of the Catholic Church. It also strives for the highest standards of academic excellence. It’s the Pope John Paul II Family Academy at St. Barbara’s Parish in Bushwick, Brooklyn. But unlike most schools, students go there for free, thanks to anonymous donor. There are some requirements: parents must not have the means to pay for a Catholic education – and both students and parents must attend Mass each week. Pope John Paul II Family Academy is our latest School of the Week.
