Support for Pope Pius XII – 3/16/10

Contentious is one way to describe the debate surrounding the life of
Pope Pius XII. Critics claim he did not do enough to save Jews during
World War II. And recently, a group of Catholic scholars sent a
letter to Pope Benedict – asking him to “slow down” the process for
Pius’s canonization.
Pope Pius is also getting plenty of support – including from one man
who may surprise you. Gary Krupp is a self-described “Jewish kid from
Queens.” He is also a knight in the Catholic Church. And in the last
few years, he’s been working tirelessly to defend Pope Pius. Our Matt
McClure had a chance to sit down with Gary Krupp.
