This week, Bishop DiMarzio released a major pastoral letter about the Church in Brooklyn and Queens – where it is – and where it’s headed. The letter comes as the Diocese faces new challenges and a less than stable economy that have many wondering about the *future of the Church.

Bishop DiMarzio writes that the Church faces a series of choices over the next few years – to determine how to use its resources to build up the Church and “serve the needs of God’s people.” To talk more about this, our Francesca Maxime spoke with the Vicar for Strategic Planning for the Diocese, Monsignor Edward Scharfenberger.
