October is “Respect Life Month.”  Cardinal Justin Rigali, who heads the U.S. Bishops Conference pro-life efforts, has released a statement in which he’s critical of those who advocate population control as a way to combat climate change. In that statement, the Cardinal also reiterated the Church’s opposition to federal funding of abortion as part of healthcare reform.  That comes ahead of this weekend’s “Respect Life Sunday.” Closer to home, though, there’s an effort to educate people about life, in a place you’d probably least expect it.
