Film Requirements
We select films based on message , production quality and originality.
Faith Film Festival is committed to showcasing films that inspire, give hope, and celebrate faith. We are also looking for films that deal with human rights issues and saving the environment.
The festival will consider all forms of short films: narrative or documentary (no music videos). Films can be from 2 minutes to 25 minutes. All projects must have been completed between Jan 2000 and 2012. Projects in a language other than English must have English subtitles. The films cannot contain cursing or profanity.
The films selected will then be aired on NET in the New York area, several times a week. For added exposure, the films will also be showcased on our website (NETNY.NET). At the beginning of the season, 6 of the top films will have a theatrical screening in New York. After the screening we will start airing 1 half hour episode every week, for 12 weeks
In addition to the great exposure the selected films will receive, there is a cash prize of $200 for the film with the most votes at the end of the season, and a $500 prize for the winner of the Golden Lighthouse award selected by the judges at the theatrical screening.
