Even though I live nowhere near NYC, I caught the show tonight on the internet and it’s really good! I think the format works great, and the interplay between Greydanus and DiCerto was really engaging. Definitely it works as a TV show, and adds a dimension you don’t get on the radio (where I usually catch Greydanus’ reviews). Excellent show. I’ll be back next week!

  2. Tyler Says:

I too am a non-New Yorker who caught the show via internet stream. I really enjoyed it, especially the fact that you had a priest give his opinion on “The Seventh Seal” (doing that gave it something unique over your average “At the Movies”). I second what Victor said about the interaction of Greydanus and Dicerto. Overall, cool show!

I enjoyed last week’s recorded show, but this week’s show seems to stop at the beginning of the review of the “A Team”. Technical problem? Thanks.

need a link somewhere to Vatican movie list, please.

  5. Tyler Says:

For what it’s worth – I thought Ann Navarro did a great job subbing for SDG last week.

(Ironically, considering he was out for the bulk of last week’s show, I thought Steven’s comments on “Twilight” were some of his best so far).

  6. Matt in Maryland Says:

Awesome show! Our family watches online every week. Siskel and Ebert eat your hearts out!

  7. Dave P Says:

Two talented critics who know their film history and — this is the important part — love movies makes for truly terrific movie TV.

Notice I said “talented” and not “Catholic.” The second goes without saying here and, besides, it’s only germane because movie buffs with opinions and preferences are a dime a dozen (hello, RottenTomatoes) but movie buffs with opinions and /consciences formed by the beautiful, art-loving Catholic faith/ are few and far between. Bravo REEL FAITH!

One minor disappointment. Three articulate agreements on this set (Inception, Despicable Me and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) meant no “Are you KIDDING? Did we see the same movie?” moments. The good news is that that moment is yet to come. Just one of the anticipations that will keep me watching now that I’m hooked. Please keep up the wonderful, God-glorifying work.

  8. Christopher Hagen Says:

I wait for this show to be posted every week. I enjoy seeing the clips and the comments from both DiCerto and Greydanus. I also appreciate the segment on the movies from the Vatican film list. My Netflix queue always gets longer after each episode. Thank you so much!

  9. Christopher Says:

    Great show!

  10. M. Swaim Says:

I’ve been following Steven Greydanus’ work for a few years, and am EXTREMELY pleased to see him branching into new media- this is great stuff!

  11. mgeoghan Says:

Hello All…glad to read your comments and we’re happy you are enjoying the show. With regards to a list of the Vatican’s Great Films, you can go to Steven Greydanus’ website and read all about it. Here’s a link: http://www.decentfilms.com/articles/vaticanfilmlist.html.

    Keep Watching!

Just wanted to say, I think everyone is doing a great job with the show. I always love tuning in when it’s playing online, and I strongly encourage you all to push for a second season.
God bless, and keep up the good work, Ben.

To answer our host’s query ‘What is your Favorite Movie from the Summer of 2010′ I’d have to say one that I didn’t get to see (since the release was so limited here in Philadelphia I didn’t hear about it until it was long gone) but vicariously Steve’s review http://imagejournal.org/page/blog/revealing-the-secret-of-kells-part-1 left me wishing for the DVD release.

Thank you for giving those of us who move in the youth culture a chance to drink it up without having to go see it all – may I ask that you mention precautions re: movies that adults who supervise minors should be aware of (I’m thinking “ORPHAN” or “PAN’S LABYRINTH”) as spiritually perverse, ie teens minds can be polluted by them?

    Enjoy!

  15. Matt Says:

Can anyone tell me if back episodes are archived anywhere for later viewing? I just started watching on the web and would like to watch some of the past episodes.

  16. mgeoghan Says:

Hey Matt…due to the “timeliness” of the show and the movie’s release dates we are not archiving our episodes beyond the week of their initial airing. However, you can find archived written reviews of the movies we’ve covered on our site and there’s always our movie trailer section where you can get an idea of what a movie is about. Thanks for watching!

  17. Ben Says:

Another brilliant show guys. I look forward to seeing “Get Low” when it is released here in Australia. Really, truly needs a second season this show!

Enjoyed this weeks show. Good to hear that Rob Reiner has made a step towards finding his form again. Can’t wait to see FLIPPED.

  20. Tim Says:

I look forward to watching Reel Faith on-line every Friday (probably more than I look forward to seeing the movies they review). Hope there will be a second season.

  21. Anthony Says:

Reel Faith is excellent! Please keep it going!

  22. Jared Says:

    David and Steven,

Great first season! I watched the episodes on the internet. And thanks to NET for providing us with this fine quality film reviewing. I look forward to next season, whenever that starts. Keep us posted.

  23. Christopher Hagen Says:

Please bring back Reel Faith for another season. I always adjusted my Netflix queue while watching/listening and I found the show of great help for selecting movies to watch.

  24. Denise Says:

Reel Faith rocks. I don’t have television and do not get to see trailers so, as a movie lover, I rely on reviews for information. That can be annoying when you can’t find anyone that looks at movies to be entertaining AND review from a Christian point of view. In other words, I rely on David and Steven. Thanks!!

  25. Christopher Hagen Says:

You’re back! I’m so thankful. I very much appreciate your reviews of adult films as well as the family films (since I watch both).

  26. Ben Says:

Great to see you guys back. I see the show hasn’t yet decided which movies to review for the show scheduled 26/12/10. May I request a review of Blue Valentine? I would very much like to hear about that film. Keep up the great work!

  27. Christopher Hagen Says:

It appears Episode 8 has not uploaded correctly. I can’t watch past the opening credits!

  28. mgeoghan Says:

The technical issue has been fixed. Episode 8 is there in all it’s glory!!

  29. Christopher Hagen Says:

One of the greatest lines of the last episode was “we’ll be back in three weeks”.

  30. mgeoghan Says:

Thanks Christopher, but I have a bit of bad news. It’s actually 4 weeks. Look for new episodes to begin on Friday, September 23rd at 8:30pm, only on NET!

  31. Ben Says:

Great to see you guys include CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS amongst your “Movies with a Message”, keep up the great work guys. God bless!
