Michael A. Rosete

Born and raised in Virginia, Michael Rosete is now part of a new generation of up-and-coming Asian-American actors. Respected by his peers, he has been acting and training for the last five years in both New York and Los Angeles. Now based in New York, and primarily interested in Theater, Michael is usually called in for leading man and the edgy/cool friend roles. On the N.Y. stage, Michael was nominated Best Actor for his performance in Proper Education (Strawberry One-Act Festival). Michael was also the LEAD in the NYU Graduate film No Exit, directed by DGA Student Film Award Honorable Mention recipient Clarissa de los Reyes. Michael has studied at the HB Studio (N.Y.) with Austin Pendleton, the Stella Adler Studio of Acting (N.Y.), and the Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown Studio (L.A.). He currently studies with Michael Howard.

He strongly believes that acting demands more than what’s covered in an acting class, so he continues to develop by exploring all aspects of life and the arts. Armed with his Holga, his Coltrane, and his imagination, Michael loves to explore places as close as the City’s five boroughs and as far as his parents’ homeland, the Philippine Islands. When he has free time, Michael tries to draw like Picasso, write like Bukowski, and read like a child. He even tries to do his own laundry.
